Washtenaw County First Assistant Prosecutor Kati Rezmierski focused the court on allegations about what occurred on Dec. 10, after Moore was fired. Rezmierski described allegations that Moore called the staff member twice, came to her apartment, entered, and that she felt “utterly terrorized, ” along with allegations that Moore threatened to kill himself and pointed “implements” at her. Rezmierski also described allegations that Moore left only after the staff member got her lawyer on speakerphone, and that even after leaving he called again and sent two text messages: “I hate you” and “My blood is on your hands. ”

Rezmierski argued that, by that point, there was no longer an employment relationship and that the alleged conduct independently supports probable cause for stalking. Rezmierski acknowledged the employer-employee relationship was not detailed in the warrant, while suggesting the detective may have assumed it was a known fact.

A woman’s attorney has alleged she met Lewis on a dating app and began communicating in July 2024, describing Lewis’ behavior as becoming “increasingly aggressive” over text messages and phone calls before an alleged rape and battery at an Ann Arbor hotel on Dec. 5, 2024.

The woman also told Moore—whom she knew personally—about the alleged assault, but he failed to report it and “weaponized” the situation against her, including by sending her sexual text messages, the woman’s attorney alleged. Moore’s attorney has denied these allegations.
