2026 World Baseball Classic Schedule and Scores: USA vs Great Britain Tonight at 8 PM ET on Fox, Ohtani Homers Twice as Japan Goes 2-0
The 2026 World Baseball Classic is delivering wall-to-wall action across all four host cities. Team USA is riding a 15-5 opening win over Brazil and steps back onto the Daikin Park diamond in Houston tonight against Great Britain at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox. Japan is the tournament's hottest team through two games, Shohei Ohtani is putting on a historic individual performance, and Italy is emerging as Pool B's sneaky dark horse. Here is every score, every channel, and every game you need to know.
Team USA Baseball: 15-5 Win Over Brazil — What Actually Happened
Team USA has a 1-0 record in the 2026 World Baseball Classic — and perhaps some work to do. The Americans walked but did not run against Brazil, which had the deficit at only three runs entering the ninth inning. The offense came down to two stats: 17 walks and a 5-for-21 performance with runners in scoring position.
A seven-run ninth inning blew the game open. Bryce Harper had an RBI single, Alex Bregman, Cal Raleigh, and Pete Crow-Armstrong all had bases-loaded RBI walks as Brazil ran out of pitching. Victor Mascai's two-run homer off Michael Wacha in the seventh had narrowed the lead to three before the late explosion. The 15-5 final score flatters the Americans — but a win is a win.
USA vs Great Britain Tonight: Tarik Skubal Takes the Mound at 8 PM ET on Fox
Tonight's USA vs Great Britain World Baseball Classic matchup is the marquee Saturday night game of pool play. Great Britain enters Pool B play at 0-1 after falling to Mexico 8-2 in their opener on Friday. Tarik Skubal is expected to start for Team USA — the only game the ace Detroit Tigers lefthander committed to before returning to spring training.
Great Britain has some legitimate talent on its roster, headlined by Nationals catching prospect Harry Ford, who tied Mexico at 1-1 with a solo homer in the sixth inning Friday before Mexico's bullpen pulled away. Great Britain carries meaningful momentum from that competitive showing into tonight's clash with the World Baseball Classic favorites.
Saturday WBC Scores: All of Today's Results

Italy pounded out a dozen hits including three home runs — two off the bat of Nori — in an impressive 8-0 shutout of Brazil. The Italians are a sneaky dark horse, with a lineup featuring lots of young major league talent and numerous top 30 prospects. In a unique tradition, Italy celebrates each home run with an espresso shot brewed on a Keurig in the dugout.
Shohei Ohtani 2026 WBC: On Pace for the Greatest Individual Tournament Ever
Shohei Ohtani hit a grand slam in Japan's opener against Chinese Taipei, finished with five RBI, and was a triple shy of the cycle. The 10-run second inning by Japan set a WBC record for most runs in a single inning, and Ohtani's five RBI in that inning are also a record for a single inning.
Against Korea on Saturday, Ohtani homered again and Japan also got two home runs from Seiya Suzuki to survive an 8-6 battle at the Tokyo Dome. Ohtani is now 5-for-6 with six RBI and two walks across his first two WBC games. Japan, the defending champion, is the consensus favorite to reach the championship game in Miami on March 17.
