Riley Green’s ‘Marshals’ Debut Has a Timeline—But Viewers Still Haven’t Seen Garrett

riley green has been confirmed as part of the cast of Marshals, but early viewers of the new CBS drama have had a singular question: when will he actually appear on screen as Garrett?

When will Riley Green appear in ‘Marshals’?

CBS confirmed two weeks before the update that riley green would be joining the cast of Marshals. Yet when the series premiered—drawing 9. 5 million viewers for its first episode—he was “noticeably absent” for those who tuned in expecting to see his character introduced immediately.

A representative from CBS later confirmed that viewers will be introduced to Garrett in “mid-April. ” Until then, fans looking for him have been limited to a post on Instagram and a brief clip in the show’s trailer.

What is known about Garrett, the character played by Riley Green?

Details about Garrett have come directly from riley green in an interview with ExtraTV, where he described the character as a former Navy SEAL who “was on the teams with Luke, ” referring to series star Luke Grimes. He also characterized Garrett as “troubled, ” adding that the character is “struggling to deal” with what he and Kayce experienced “back in the day. ”

In the same interview, riley green said Kayce is “constantly trying to help him” and “let him into that Western lifestyle and what they have out there as Marshals, ” calling Garrett “a pretty vulnerable character. ”

What airs before Garrett arrives—and why some viewers think they already saw Riley Green

While the wait for Garrett continues into mid-April, CBS has outlined story stakes for earlier episodes. One upcoming installment is set to follow Kayce as he embraces a new beginning when “a Marshals op to stop a domestic terror attack lands him in a valley of buried Dutton family skeletons. ” The episode description adds that, while confronting his past, Kayce must also learn to ingratiate himself with his new Marshals teammates.

There is also another country-music cameo set to arrive before Garrett: Ashley Cooke will perform her song “next to you” in a bar scene in the March 8 episode of Marshals. Her label, Big Loud, described the scene as beginning with a close-up of Cooke singing on the bar stage before continuing as the scene unfolds.

As the series rolls out, confusion among some viewers has also added noise to the conversation. After the premiere, some fans believed riley green had already appeared as Kayce’s friend Pete “Cal” Calvin. However, Cal is portrayed by Logan Marshall-Green.

For now, the confirmed on-screen timeline is straightforward: riley green is cast as Garrett, but the character’s arrival is scheduled for “mid-April, ” leaving the early episodes to establish Kayce’s new role and team dynamic first.
