Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje Headlines UFC White House Fight Card Reveal

UFC President Dana White has revealed the full fight card for the highly anticipated UFC Freedom 250 event, set to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event will take place on June 14 at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.

Headlining Bout: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje

The main event will feature a lightweight unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. Topuria, a former UFC featherweight champion, captured the lightweight title by defeating Charles Oliveira via knockout last June. However, he has not yet defended this title since stepping away from competition in November.

On the other hand, Justin Gaethje is vying for his first unified championship after winning his second interim lightweight title with a unanimous decision against Paddy Pimblett in January.

Co-Main Event and Additional Fights

The co-main event will showcase Alex Pereira against Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship. Pereira, who previously held two light heavyweight titles, is stepping up a division for this significant match. The winner will likely face Tom Aspinall, the reigning UFC heavyweight champion, who previously encountered Gane in a no-contest due to an eye injury in October.
