Tagovailoa, who is 28 years old, signed a contract worth $1.3 million, which is the veteran’s minimum. This comes as the Dolphins are still obligated to pay him $54 million from his previous contract.

Previously, Tagovailoa had a challenging season with the Dolphins. He started 14 games in 2025, where he achieved a completion rate of 67.7%. He threw for 2,660 yards, recording 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
