AJ Dybantsa Sets Big 12 Freshman Scoring Record — 93 Points in Three Games

AJ Dybantsa shattered records in the first round, scoring 40 points against Kansas State to set the Big 12 Tournament freshman record. Dybantsa hit a late three for his 26th point Thursday night against Houston, giving the likely No. 1 NBA Draft pick 93 total points in three Big 12 Tournament games — breaking Kevin Durant's previous record of 92.

Houston held on to eliminate BYU 73-66 despite BYU leading by as many as seven and holding a 41-37 halftime lead. The Cougars could not sustain it as Houston outscored them 36-25 in the second half with Kingston Flemings scoring a team-high 17 points for the Cougars.

Iowa State Blankets Texas Tech: Largest Win Margin in Big 12 Tournament History

Iowa State hammered Texas Tech 75-53, following up Wednesday's historic 91-42 demolition of Arizona State — the largest margin of victory in Big 12 Tournament history. Joshua Jefferson posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Milan Momcilovic also scored 20 in the rout. Iowa State's suffocating defense forced turnover after turnover and built a commanding lead by halftime.

Arizona Rolls UCF: Braden Burries Leads Four in Double Figures

No. 1 Arizona opened up a 35-8 advantage in the game's first 12 minutes and never looked back, winning 81-59. Braden Burries led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting, while Tobe Awaka came off the bench for a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Themus Fulks led UCF with 14 points in the loss.

Both semifinals are Friday at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. Game 13 pits No. 5 Iowa State vs. No. 1 Arizona at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN. Game 14 then features No. 2 Houston vs. the Kansas-TCU winner at 9:30 PM ET on ESPN.
