‘Yellowstone’ Producer Adapts Bunnie Xo Memoir for Film
101 Studios, recognized for its work on “Landman” and the hit series “Yellowstone,” has obtained film adaptation rights to Alisa DeFord’s memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.” Alisa, popularly known as Bunnie Xo, narrates her transformative journey from living in a Las Vegas trailer park to becoming a renowned podcast host and media entrepreneur.
Fast-Tracked Film Adaptation
The project will be fast-tracked under a new first-look agreement with Universal Pictures. David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, emphasized the relatable nature of Bunnie Xo’s story, describing it as “raw, unfiltered, honest, and inspiring.” He expressed excitement about adapting her unique narrative for the big screen, aiming to showcase her resilience, humor, and humanity.
Memoir’s Success
Published last month, “Stripped Down” has quickly climbed the literary ranks. It is currently in its third week on the New York Times Best Sellers List, highlighting its widespread appeal among readers. The film adaptation will mirror the memoir’s focus on Bunnie Xo’s grit and her journey toward redemption.
