No. 1 Michigan vs. No. 8 Ohio State: The Noon Rivalry Showdown
Top-seeded Michigan will get a date with rival Ohio State, looking for a three-game sweep of its rival this season. The Wolverines are the defending Big Ten Tournament champions, having beaten Wisconsin in the 2025 championship game, and are seeking to become the first back-to-back Big Ten Tournament champions since accomplishing the feat in 2017-18.
After Iowa cut the lead to 70-69 with 39 seconds remaining Thursday, Ohio State's John Mobley was fouled with 8.8 seconds left, made both free throws, and the Hawkeyes missed a tying three at the buzzer. The Buckeyes are riding momentum from that gutsy survival.
Illinois vs. Wisconsin: Rematch of Regular Season Overtime Classic
Wisconsin rallied to outlast Illinois in overtime during the regular season. What does Round II have in store for the Badgers and the Illini? John Blackwell carried Wisconsin with 34 points and 10 rebounds in Thursday's tense 85-82 win over Washington. Illinois enters fresh after a full week of rest as the No. 4 seed.
Nebraska vs. Purdue and Michigan State vs. UCLA
Purdue and Nebraska played an overtime thriller in the regular season, and Michigan State will try to throw cold water on a red-hot UCLA squad that eliminated Rutgers 72-59 in Thursday's final third-round game.
Donovan Dent delivered a triple-double in one of Thursday's standout individual performances. Northwestern's Nick Martinelli had a teary embrace with beloved coach Chris Collins in the final seconds of his final Big Ten Tournament game after Purdue eliminated the Cinderella Wildcats 81-68.
