Blue Mountain: Grant County Airport to Host Regional Transportation Meeting on March 19

The Grant County Regional Airport will host a regional transportation meeting on March 19 in John Day, and blue mountain stakeholders from Malheur, Grant and Harney counties along with tribal representatives are invited to attend.

What Happens When Blue Mountain Communities Meet?

The Southeast Area Commission on Transportation will convene at the Grant County Regional Airport for a two-hour session beginning at 1 p. m. ET and concluding at 3 p. m. ET. The commission is comprised of community leaders and other partners from Malheur, Grant, and Harney counties, and includes representatives from the Burns-Paiute Tribes. The commission serves as an advisory body chartered by the Oregon Transportation Commission to help address all aspects of transportation.

Who Will Be Present and How to Participate?

The meeting is open to the public and will set aside time for public comments. Attendance is possible in person at the airport facility and a virtual option offered through Microsoft Teams; the meeting agenda contains the link to join.
