Dolphins, Jets, Cowboys, Browns, Chiefs Hold Two 2026 NFL Draft Picks

The 2026 NFL Draft is approaching, and five teams have successfully secured two first-round picks each. This strategic advantage aims to strengthen their rosters in a league marked by fierce competition.

Teams with Multiple Picks

  • Dolphins: Miami will select at No. 11 and has acquired Denver’s No. 30 pick after trading wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Broncos.
  • Jets: New York holds its own No. 2 pick alongside Indianapolis’ No. 16 pick obtained in the Sauce Gardner trade.
  • Cowboys: Dallas retains its own No. 12 pick and has secured Green Bay’s No. 20 pick through the Micah Parsons trade.
  • Browns: Cleveland has its No. 6 pick plus Jacksonville’s No. 24 pick, a result of a previous draft-day trade.
  • Chiefs: Kansas City will choose at No. 9 and has the Rams’ No. 29 pick from the deal involving Trent McDuffie.

Failed Trades and Pickless Teams

Initially, the Raiders were set to acquire a second first-rounder by trading Maxx Crosby to the Ravens. However, that trade fell through, leaving the Ravens with their single first-round pick.

In contrast, five teams will not participate in the first round of the upcoming draft:

  • Broncos
  • Falcons
  • Colts
  • Packers
  • Jaguars

Rebuilding Efforts

All teams with two first-round picks failed to qualify for the playoffs last season. This opportunity allows them to execute a comprehensive rebuilding strategy. Having multiple first-round selections is pivotal to enhancing their roster and laying the foundation for future success in the league.
