Scott Cross has been appointed as the 16th head coach for Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball. This announcement was made by Ryan Alpert, Georgia Tech’s vice president and director of athletics. Cross brings a wealth of experience, having secured seven conference championships and achieved over 350 career victories during his coaching tenure.

Coaching Career and Achievements

Before joining Georgia Tech, Cross spent seven successful seasons as the head coach at Troy. His tenure at Troy, from 2019 to 2026, was marked by consistent success. Under his management, the Trojans claimed back-to-back Sun Belt Conference regular-season and tournament titles. Cross’s teams achieved at least 20 wins in each of his last five seasons, marking a total of ten 20-win seasons throughout his coaching career.
