With the release of “Swim,” BTS secures its position as the group with the most No. 1 hits on the Hot 100, having achieved this milestone since their first chart-topper in October 2020. They now tie for the most No. 1s among groups in nearly half a century, alongside the Bee Gees. Only the Beatles, Supremes, and Rolling Stones have more chart-toppers than BTS.

Chart Metrics and Sales Figures

“Swim” is officially the 1,190th No. 1 in Hot 100 history and the 89th song to debut atop the chart. The track, released on March 20, 2026, garnered impressive figures:

  • 15.3 million official streams
  • 25.8 million radio airplay impressions
  • 154,000 combined digital and physical single sales

The physical sales included two versions of the single, one of which featured an instrumental version. The digital sales comprised multiple variants, including one for each BTS member.

Promotion and Appearances

BTS promoted “Swim” through various platforms, including a Netflix special titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE on March 21. They also performed the song on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 25 and March 26.
