Ten NFL Teams Launch Offseason Programs Next Week
The NFL offseason programs are set to commence next week, with ten teams gearing up to enhance their training regimens. These teams welcomed new head coaches this offseason, enabling them to start working with players on Monday, April 6.
NFL Teams Starting Offseason Programs
Among the ten teams, the Baltimore Ravens have uniquely chosen April 6 as their initial day of work. The other nine teams will begin their offseason activities on April 7. These teams include:
- Arizona Cardinals
- Atlanta Falcons
- Buffalo Bills
- Cleveland Browns
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Miami Dolphins
- New York Giants
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Tennessee Titans
Upcoming Minicamps and Phases
All ten teams will conduct a voluntary minicamp later this spring. In addition, each team is required to organize a rookie minicamp and a mandatory minicamp over the next few months.
The format for these programs features a phased approach:
- Phase One: The first two weeks consist of meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.
- Phase Two: The following three weeks allow on-field work but exclude full-speed team drills.
- Phase Three: The final phase permits team drills but maintains a no-contact policy throughout the offseason.
Returning Coaches and Their Timeline
Meanwhile, the majority of the 22 teams with returning coaches will initiate their offseason programs on April 20 or 21. Notably, the Denver Broncos have scheduled their first day of work for May 4.
As teams prepare for the coming season, this offseason training is crucial for building team cohesion and improving player performance.
