Giants Announce 2026 Offseason Workout Program Dates
The NFL has announced the voluntary offseason workout program dates for all 32 teams, including the New York Giants for 2026. These programs are designed to help players with training, coaching, and conditioning.
Giants’ 2026 Offseason Workout Program Dates
The following key dates have been set for the Giants:
- Voluntary Minicamp: April 21-23
- OTA Offseason Workouts: May 19-21, May 27-29, June 1-4
- Veterans Minicamp: June 8-10
Overview of the Offseason Program Phases
According to Article 21 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the offseason program spans nine weeks and is divided into three phases:
- Phase One: The first two weeks focus on meetings, strength training, and rehabilitation.
- Phase Two: The following three weeks include on-field workouts, such as individual or group drills; however, live contact is prohibited.
- Phase Three: The final four weeks allow for organized team practice activities (OTAs) for a total of 10 days. Again, there is no live contact, but various drills are permitted.
Mandatory Minicamp and Additional Options
As specified in Article 22 of the CBA, each team must conduct a mandatory minicamp for veteran players. This minicamp occurs during Phase Three of the program. New head coaches can also hold an additional voluntary minicamp for veterans.
The voluntary minicamp must take place before the NFL Draft, which is scheduled for April 23-25, and no earlier than week three of the offseason program.
Post-Draft Activities
Each team can hold a rookie football development program lasting seven weeks, with activities starting May 11, 2026. Weekend activities are generally prohibited, with an exception for a post-draft rookie minicamp that can take place the first or second weekend after the draft.
The exact dates for each club’s post-draft rookie minicamps will be announced later.
