Blake Lively Unearthed Clip Reveals Awkward Moment with Justin Baldoni
An unearthed interview clip featuring Blake Lively has resurfaced, highlighting a notably awkward moment involving her chemistry with co-star Justin Baldoni during the filming of “It Ends With Us.” The clip captures Lively’s nervousness as she was indirectly referred to as the intimacy coordinator in some of their intimate scenes. This comes on the heels of a recent legal development in her ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni.
Resurfaced Interview Clip Sheds Light on Blake Lively’s Discomfort
In the interview, Lively, alongside “It Ends With Us” creator Colleen Hoover and co-star Brandon Sklenar, responded to questions about her on-screen bond with Baldoni. During the discussion, a journalist from Access Hollywood inquired about her role in coordinating intimate scenes. Lively, visibly flustered, commented, “That shouldn’t be happening, by the way.” She emphasized the importance of hiring trained intimacy coordinators for such scenes.
The exchange became awkward when the interviewer stated that Lively had been teaching Baldoni how to interact with her during those scenes. Lively, trying to deflect, laughed uneasily and asked for more context about the statement.
Legal Challenges and Dismissed Claims
Blake Lively’s legal battle intensified when she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni in 2024. Recently, however, a judge dismissed a significant portion of her claims, including the sexual harassment charges. Judge Lewis Liman ruled that Lively could not pursue certain allegations under federal law, as she was classified as an independent contractor during the production.
This ruling, consistent with California laws, indicated that there wasn’t a significant connection to sustain her claims, as the filming took place in New Jersey. Lively now retains three remaining charges focused on breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation, which will proceed to trial on May 18.
Stance and Commitment Despite Setbacks
Despite this legal setback, sources close to Lively indicate her determination to continue the fight. Her legal representative, Sigrid McCawley, has insisted that Lively aims to highlight the issue of retaliation against those who speak out. Lively herself stated that she did not seek a lawsuit lightly but felt compelled to address the retaliation she experienced for advocating a safe work environment.
“I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence, and retaliate against victims,” she affirmed.
Justin Baldoni’s Position on the Case
In response to the latest developments, Baldoni’s legal team expressed satisfaction with the dismissal of the sexual harassment claims. His lawyers stated, “We’re very pleased the court dismissed all sexual harassment claims and every claim brought against the individual defendants.” They look forward to defending against the remaining claims in court.
This ongoing situation has drawn considerable media attention, raising discussions about the role of intimacy coordinators in film productions and the importance of safe working environments for actors.
