KATSEYE Announces ‘Wild’ EP Release Date During Manon’s Hiatus

KATSEYE, a rising girl group, continues to make waves in the music industry. Following the release of their single “Pinky Up” and a standout performance during the first weekend of Coachella, the group has announced their upcoming EP titled Wild. This announcement came on April 15, with the project set to release on August 14 through HYBE x Geffen Records.

Upcoming EP Details

The Wild EP will contain five tracks, including the popular single “Pinky Up.” While the cover art has yet to be unveiled, fans can look forward to the music on Spotify’s countdown page.

Celebration at Coachella

Members Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae shared their excitement through a playful behind-the-scenes video at Coachella. They joyfully announced their new project, stating, “They don’t know we’re about to announce our new EP, Wild,” followed by shots of the impressive crowd present.

Manon’s Hiatus

This EP marks KATSEYE’s first project since last year’s successful release, Beautiful Chaos, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The new music comes during a time when member Manon is on hiatus to focus on her health and well-being. Notably, Manon was absent from the “Pinky Up” music video that premiered on April 9.

Support from the Group

In a heartfelt conversation with Zane Lowe prior to their first performance at Coachella, the group expressed their support for Manon. Sophia remarked, “Manon has been on hiatus, and we love her so much, and we know that she’s doing well.” Lara echoed these sentiments, emphasizing their bond and commitment to supporting each other during challenging times.

Next Performance

The five remaining members are scheduled to return to Coachella for the second weekend on April 17. As they continue to grow their fan base, KATSEYE is set to captivate audiences with their forthcoming EP, Wild.
