Meghan Trainor Cancels Tour After New Baby, Family Priorities Take Over

meghan trainor has canceled her upcoming Get in Girl tour after saying the demands of a new album, a nationwide run, and life with a new baby had become too much to manage at once. In an April 16 Instagram Story, the singer said the decision followed “a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations. ” The tour had been set to begin June 12 in Michigan.

Meghan Trainor Says the Timing Made the Tour Impossible

The announcement came less than three months after Meghan Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their daughter, Mikey, into what she described as their growing family of five. She said she needed to be “home and present” for her loved ones and called the move a “difficult decision. ”

Meghan Trainor added that she knew the news would disappoint fans, and she apologized for letting them down. She also told supporters she would be back soon and said she could not wait for them to hear the new record.

That album, Toy With Me, is still set for release on April 24. The canceled tour had been planned to stretch across more than 30 North American dates, making the change a major shift in her schedule just weeks before launch.

Meghan Trainor Balances Music, Motherhood and Health

The singer has recently been open about the pressure of keeping up with work and family at the same time. In a recent interview published April 15, Meghan Trainor said she focuses on mental health first and described a routine that includes therapy, antidepressants, and other health checks.

She said she cannot do everything at once and emphasized that asking for help matters to her. Meghan Trainor also credited Daryl Sabara with helping her feel confident and supported in her own skin.

“It’s a nice relief to be confidently loved, ” she said, describing the dynamic at home as steady and reassuring. The timing of the tour cancellation made clear how tightly her professional plans and personal life are now intertwined.

A Same-Day Mansion Sale Adds to the Shift

On the same day she announced the tour cancellation, Meghan Trainor also closed the sale of her Los Angeles mansion for $6, 835, 000. The home had been on the market for only a short time, and the sale marked a small gain from the $6. 6 million she paid for it in 2020.

The property spans 14, 164 square feet on more than an acre and includes seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a private recording studio, a gym, a basketball court, and a resort-style outdoor area. It also carries a Hollywood history, having previously been owned by Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green.

Meghan Trainor’s next public milestone is the April 24 release of Toy With Me, and her fans are now watching for what comes after that. For now, the message is consistent: Meghan Trainor is stepping back, keeping family first, and promising she will return soon.
