Cannes Expands Lineup with Maika Monroe’s Victorian Psycho
The Cannes Film Festival continues to expand its impressive lineup for the upcoming event. Among the latest additions is the horror film “Victorian Psycho,” directed by Zachary Wigon and featuring Maika Monroe in the lead role. Monroe plays Winifred Notty, a unique governess who takes up residence in the gothic manor known as Ensor House.
Cannes Film Festival 2023: Key Additions
“Victorian Psycho” tells the unsettling story of Winifred as mysterious occurrences lead to the disappearance of staff members at the estate. The film also boasts a strong supporting cast, including:

Additionally, “A Girl’s Story,” the feature debut of Judith Godrèche, has been announced for the Un Certain Regard section. This film adapts Annie Ernaux’s autobiographical novel, depicting a young girl’s summer camp experience and her encounter with an older man in 1958.
Diego Luna’s “Ashes” will also be featured in the Special Screenings category. This Spanish-language drama is based on Brenda Navarro’s award-winning novel, “Eating Ashes,” and includes a talented cast featuring:
