More than 18,000 restaurants

The nationwide launch puts the chain's pricing in front of a broad customer base immediately, not just a small test market. Subway said the menu is available at more than 18,000 restaurants across the country, making the offer accessible at most of its U.S. footprint.

The first-ever value menu also gives the chain a clear comparison point for diners deciding between the $3.99 Deli Faves and the $4.99 Sub of the Day. For customers in California, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii, the posted prices are higher, so the value menu will not look identical everywhere.

Skena tied the launch to affordability and menu variety, pairing the pricing with Subway's standard sandwich format and customizable ingredients. That leaves customers with a straightforward choice: the lower-priced six-inch options, the daily special, or a different order through the app and website.
