De La Cruz homered, and Spencer Steer added a two-run shot in the first inning to put the Reds in front early. Chase Burns handled the rest, allowing two runs and striking out nine over six innings.

Burns also reached 100 career strikeouts in 72.1 innings, making him the fastest pitcher in Reds history to get there. Cincinnati has won 11 of its last 15 games and is 3-1 on its current six-game homestand.
