Anna Paulina Luna Announces House Hearing on MK Ultra Next Month

Florida GOP Rep. anna paulina luna said Wednesday that the House will hold a hearing on MK Ultra next month. Luna said, “I think our next task force hearing will be on MK Ultra.”

MK Ultra was a CIA program from the 1950s to the 1960s that was designed to study mind control. The program used American and Canadian citizens as subjects, bringing a long-dormant federal effort back before Congress.

MK Ultra and Luna

Luna had mentioned MK Ultra before Wednesday, including by sharing a Daily Mail article titled, “Declassified CIA files reveal chilling blueprint to manipulate Americans' minds through covert drugging with vaccines.” Her latest announcement gives the issue a formal House setting after it had already surfaced in her public remarks.

The hearing also fits a pattern in Luna’s recent public work. She has made headlines this year as a major proponent of getting the SAVE Act passed and for going after the Office of Congressional Ethics.

February Posts

In February, Luna wrote, “Congressional ethics is a joke,” and added, “They have so much dirt on members of Congress, and they do nothing.” She also wrote, “There is even a slush fund they use to pay people off with your tax dollars,” and, “This is part of why the system is so broken.”

She added another line in the same post: “They’re sitting on reports, and if someone steps out of line, isn’t it ironic how they leak them, threaten to leak them, or time it for right after Election Day?” Those remarks show how she has tied her oversight criticism to broader claims about congressional institutions.

House Task Force Hearing

The next step is the House hearing Luna said will take place next month. Her announcement makes MK Ultra the subject of a coming task force hearing, with Luna already placing the issue inside her broader push on ethics, oversight, and congressional power.
