Fiona Bruce moves Question Time to Friday for results night
Fiona Bruce told viewers that question time will not air on Thursday next week and will instead move to Friday because Thursday is election results night. She made the announcement during Thursday’s England Election Special, which aired from Maidenhead, Kent.
Bruce said the programme will be in London next week. She also told viewers, "Let me just say that we are in London next week for our programme and we are not going to be on air on Thursday. That’s the results night for the elections."
Bruce on London schedule
Bruce added that the show will air on Friday, "when most of the results will have come in." She told viewers, "So we shall see where we are," and invited people who want to take part in the London programme to follow the instructions on the Question Time website.
The scheduling change comes after the April 30, 2026 episode of Question Time, filmed in Maidenhead, Kent, as an England Election Special. That programme also included discussion of antisemitism, extremism and the Golders Green attacks.
May 14 in Brecon
Bruce said Question Time will resume as usual on Thursday, May 14 in Brecon. For viewers following the programme next week, the main change is simple: Thursday is out, Friday is in, and the London edition will land after most of the election results are available.
Panel member Zia Yusuf said the threat to Jewish people in the UK is "is in fact real," and said "I think the levels of antisemitism in this country now, the levels of extremism, are intolerable." Rachel Millward called the Golders Green attacks "horrifying" and said the Green Party wants everyone to "stand together against any form of racial hatred."
