Pokemon Pitch Black Card List Released With Four Mega ex Cards

The Pokémon Company has expanded the pokemon pitch black card list with Mega Evolution—Pitch Black, a worldwide Pokémon TCG release set for Friday, July 17, 2026. The set will reach Pokémon TCG Live one day earlier, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, giving digital players first access before the paper release.

The announcement came on Thursday and introduced four ex cards: Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex. The expansion will arrive in booster packs, elite trainer boxes, and other collections, giving buyers multiple ways to pick it up when it launches.

Mega Darkrai ex is described as emerging from the shadows with commanding presence, while Mega Zeraora ex is said to strike back with electrifying power. Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex round out the set’s featured cards.

Pokémon TCG Live July 16

The one-day lead on Pokémon TCG Live gives players a chance to test the new cards before the physical release. That split timing means digital deck builders can start experimenting on Thursday, July 16, while collectors and in-person players wait until Friday for sealed product and cards.

The expansion also appears to directly mirror the Japan-exclusive Abyss Eye set, and the featured Mega evolutions first appeared in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. No card art images were available yet, leaving the four-card lineup as the main detail for players tracking the set’s rollout.

For buyers planning ahead, the practical takeaway is simple: the set’s first public dates are already fixed. Players who follow digital play can prepare for July 16 in Pokémon TCG Live, while collectors watching for physical product will be looking to July 17 and the release channels listed for the expansion.
