Tim English Returns as Bulldogs Vs Fremantle Sees Six Changes

Tim English is back for bulldogs vs fremantle at Marvel Stadium, with the Western Bulldogs naming the ruck for Friday night after a month out. The Bulldogs made six changes for round eight, while Fremantle made one, giving Luke Beveridge a very different side to manage at 7.30pm AEST.

English Returns To Marvel Stadium

English’s selection is the headline move in the Western Bulldogs’ team for the Dockers. He was listed to play in his first game in a month, and his return added size to a side that already needed a major reset before facing Fremantle.

The Bulldogs also included Nick Coffield, Harvey Gallagher, Arthur Jones, Liam Vandermeer and Lachie McNeil. That group replaced Ryan Gardner, Laith Jaques, Luke Smith, Oskar Baker and Cooper Hynes, while Adam Treloar was managed out of the side.

Fremantle Add Patrick Voss

Fremantle’s only change brought Patrick Voss back after illness, and he rejoined Josh Treacy and Jye Amiss in the forward line. That left the Dockers with far less upheaval than the Bulldogs for the same round-eight match.

For the Bulldogs, the scale of the reshuffle stood out because six changes is a heavy turnover for one Friday night team sheet. Beveridge had to replace five omitted players and account for Treloar’s managed absence while bringing English straight back into the contest at Marvel Stadium.

The line-up told the story before the first bounce: one side arrived with six new names, the other with one. That is the kind of team-sheet swing that changes how a match is set up from the opening minute.
