Kim Zolciak-biermann Loses Temporary Physical Custody of Four Children
kim zolciak-biermann lost temporary physical custody of the four children she shares with Kroy Biermann after a judge sided with Biermann in March. The ruling leaves the former couple with joint legal custody, but Biermann now has final decision-making authority on education, non-emergency medical and religious matters.
Kroy Biermann’s March Motion
Biermann filed an emergency motion in March asking for sole custody, arguing in court that Zolciak neglects their kids. He also said she left the country for a month to film two upcoming reality TV shows. In his filing, he described her as “more selfishly concerned with her own image and her work options.”
The judge’s order did not end the custody case. It changed the children’s day-to-day physical arrangement for now and gave Biermann the authority to make the most routine long-term choices while the case stays open.
Temporary Order Before May 21st
Zolciak said the ruling is temporary until the return court date on May 21st. She said the parties will have an opportunity for a full hearing that day and that she is looking forward to presenting the truth in court. Biermann and Zolciak had previously signed a temporary joint custody agreement, making the latest order a sharper shift in how the four children are being handled between court dates.
For the children, the practical change is immediate: one parent now controls physical custody, while the other remains a joint legal custodian. For the parents, the next step is the May 21st hearing, where the temporary order will be revisited and tested against the arguments each side has already put on the record.
