Canadas Wonderland Opens Sunday With Friday Night Passholder Preview

Canadas Wonderland Opens Sunday With Friday Night Passholder Preview

canadas wonderland opens Sunday for another season, with a Friday night preview reserved for season passholders. The reopening arrives with a renamed summer ride, new menu items and a stricter entry rule for younger guests.

DareDeviler Arrives This Summer

The DareDeviler, previously known as Flight Deck, will open this summer, giving the park a fresh ride headline as the season gets underway. It is inspired by early aviation and the Grande World Expo, a thematic shift that puts the coaster update alongside the park’s other new-season changes.

New treats on the menu include a Choco Crispy Bites Funnel Cake, Donair Kababs and Tanghulu fruit skewers. For visitors planning a full day, those additions matter as much as the ride list: they signal that the park is pushing the reopening as a broader refresh rather than a simple gate-open date.

4 p.m. Chaperone Rule

As of 4 p.m. daily, guests aged 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to or remain in the park. That makes the first hours of the evening the point where family groups need to be most careful about who is entering together and who is staying past the cutoff.

For parents, older siblings and group leaders, the rule changes the planning math before anyone reaches the front gate. A party that fits the daytime admission rules will not necessarily meet the after-4 p.m. standard, so anyone heading in late needs to arrive with the right adult in place.

Toronto Marathon Weekend

The Toronto Marathon also takes place this Sunday, drawing runners from 50 countries and raising funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. The marathon begins at Yonge Street and North York Boulevard at 7:30 a.m., while the half-marathon starts there at 8:30 a.m.

The 10K run begins at Lake Shore Boulevard and Strachan Avenue at 7:30 a.m., and the 5K run starts there at 8 a.m. Those start lines create a busy Sunday for anyone moving around the city early, especially with marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5K run and walk events all on the schedule.

The CN Tower Climb for Nature for WWF Canada runs this Saturday and Sunday, with climbers tackling 1,776 stairs. Saturday is closed to new registrations, while Sunday remains available, so anyone still deciding has one day left to sign up.
