Aaron Judge Debuts Custom Nike Cleats With Penny and Gus Logo

aaron judge arrived at Yankee Stadium on Friday night with a new look on his feet: custom Nike cleats featuring a logo of his two dogs on the heel. The Yankees captain’s cleats added another visible layer to a strong start in 2026, with Judge already tied for the MLB lead with 12 homers.

Judge And His Dogs

The cleats were cream-colored with tan suede overlays, a matching brown Nike swoosh and an off-white sole. The dachshund-inspired logo was stitched near the back, a direct nod to Penny and Gus, Judge’s blonde, long-haired dachshunds.

Those two dogs have shown up around the Yankees before. Penny and Gus inspired official plush toys sold at the Yankee Stadium Team Store near Section 119 last year, and a portion of the proceeds benefited a dog charity.

Penny, Gus, And Judge

The dogs also surfaced in Judge’s public baseball moments beyond the merch shelf. They appeared in a video during his interview after he was named the 2025 American League MVP, and cameras captured Judge and Gus playing together in the Yankee Stadium outfield in 2023.

Friday’s cleats fit the profile of a player whose on-field production has already set the tone for New York’s season. Through the Yankees’ first 31 games, Judge had five doubles, five stolen bases and 20 RBIs, while New York entered the night with the best record in the American League at 20-11.

Yankees Against Baltimore

The Yankees faced the Baltimore Orioles with that 20-11 record behind them and Judge in the middle of another productive stretch. His custom pair turned the pregame walk into part of the story, but the more important number remained the one on the standings board and the one on his season line.
