RJ Barrett Lifts Raptors Past Cavaliers, Forces Game 7 — Playoff Bracket Nba

RJ Barrett pushed the playoff bracket nba into a Game 7 with an overtime three-pointer that lifted Toronto past Cleveland in Game 6. The Raptors did it while playing the entire series without Immanuel Quickley and without Brandon Ingram in Game 6.

Barrett Seals Toronto

Barrett’s shot ended the game and kept Toronto alive. He scored 24 points, matching Ja'Kobe Walter’s 24, while Scottie Barnes carried the biggest load with 25 points and 14 assists.

The final possession had no timeout from Darko Rajakovic, and Toronto still found the look it needed. Barnes had already accounted for 59 of the team’s 112 points in Game 6, which shows how much Cleveland had to chase him before Barrett got the last word.

Barnes Carries The Load

Cleveland built its plan around Barnes, and Toronto kept feeding the same pressure back at it. Walter said after the win, “You can't stop the offense and worry about force-feeding Scottie all the time,” and that approach opened space for the rest of the rotation.

Walter also pointed to the trust Toronto had in its shot selection. “He does a great job of getting to the paint for us and he always makes the right decision. And then coach always says, 'If it's an open shot, don't second-guess yourself.' No matter who you are, just shoot the shot.”

Toronto’s Shorthanded Push

The Raptors have played the series without starting point guard Immanuel Quickley, and they entered Game 6 without their leading scorer, Brandon Ingram. That left Barnes, Barrett and Walter to handle the scoring burden against a Cleveland defense that kept loading up on Barnes.

Toronto is now playing with house money in Game 7. Cleveland had a chance to finish the series in Game 6, but Barrett’s overtime three instead sent the matchup to one more game and left the Cavaliers trying to answer a shot that ended the night.
