Liverpool Weather Forecast Calls for 23C Peak on Friday

Liverpool weather turns sharply warmer this week, with the city forecast to climb to 23C on Friday, May 1, 2026. The Met Office says that will be the warmest day in the UK, before temperatures ease back to around 16C over the weekend.

Wednesday, April 29 is set to hover around 19C in Liverpool, with wind gusts of around 32mph making it feel a few degrees cooler. On Thursday, April 30, the city is due to reach at least 21C, before Friday's 23C peak.

The weather map is orange to show the high temperatures. That comes during a run of sunny conditions across the north west, after the Met Office said any early mist and fog patches would clear to leave blue skies.

North West warm spell

The Met Office's north west forecast says Thursday will be another dry and sunny day across the region. It adds that Friday will be warm and a little more humid with lighter winds.

That sequence gives Liverpool the clearest warm spell in the run-up to the weekend. The same forecast says the weekend will turn increasingly cloudy, with an increasing risk of heavy showers, possibly thundery.

By Saturday and Sunday, Liverpool is forecast to be around 16C. For anyone planning outdoor time, Friday looks like the best window for the warmest conditions before the cooler, more unsettled weather moves in.
