Robert Bryczek Faces Cam Rowston in Perth Middleweight Bout

Robert Bryczek is set for another UFC middleweight outing on Saturday, when he meets Cam Rowston at RAC Arena in Perth. The Polish knockout artist enters after a win over Brad Tavares, giving him a fresh test in the 185-pound class against an Australian opponent on home soil.

Rowston’s Perth matchup

Rowston called Bryczek a big, tough guy and said, "He's a big, tough guy. As they say, Polish power's a real thing, so I'm expecting that to happen in the fight," — Cam Rowston said to UFC.com this week about Robert Bryczek. He also pointed to Bryczek’s recent form, saying, "He's very strong. He's come from the European circuit. He's had two fights in the UFC, coming off a win against Brad Tavares. So he's proved himself, as well. So it's going to be a great fight."

Those details make the Perth booking more than a standard matchup. Bryczek has had two fights in the UFC, and this one puts him against a fighter who has already built momentum in Australia, first with a first-round TKO of Brandon Holmes on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2025 and then with a first-round UFC debut win over Andre Petroski in Perth the following month.

Middleweight pressure in Perth

The fight lands in the 185-pound class, where both men are being framed as finishers with room to climb. Rowston’s path has moved quickly from Contender Series contract to a second Perth appearance in eight months, after he beat Cody Brundage via second-round stoppage at UFC 325 in Sydney in January.

For Bryczek, the immediate task is simpler: carry the Brad Tavares win into a tough road assignment and keep building inside the division. Saturday’s bout at RAC Arena gives him another chance to turn a short UFC sample into something larger, while Rowston gets another home crowd and another chance to make a statement in the middleweight picture.
