Lyle Taylor Wins Two Awards for Exeter City Fc After 28 Goals
Chelmsford City FC closed its 2025/26 season by handing Lyle Taylor two awards for exeter city fc, with the forward taking Supporter’s Player of the Year and Goal of the Season after a 28-goal campaign. The recognition capped a year that also brought awards for players, staff and supporters across the club.
Lyle Taylor’s 28-goal haul
Taylor’s 28 goals made him the clear attacking headline of the night. He added Goal of the Season for his strike against Hornchurch, giving him the rare double from the end-of-season vote.
That put him ahead of a field that included several other individual winners from across the club’s awards list. Chelmsford City FC used the event to recognize performances over the full 2025/26 season, with selections drawn from both matchday impact and broader contribution.
Ben Tompkins and Harry Barbrook
Ben Tompkins collected Manager’s Player of the Season, while Harry Barbrook won Player’s Player of the Season. Interim Manager Ricky Holmes praised Tompkins as a key part of the defence, a nod to the work that helped shape the team’s season beyond the goals column.
Jason Adigun’s award carried its own numbers. He won Supporter’s Young Player of the Year after producing 8 goals and 12 assists, a return that showed he added more than end product in the final third.
Alan Jones and Harry Figg
Not every award came from on-pitch output. Alan Jones was named Clubman of the Year for continued voluntary efforts both on and off matchdays, while Harry Figg won Birketts Fan of the Year after more than 60 nominations.
Jett Murphy also picked up recognition, winning Away Coach Player of the Year after what the club described as a breakthrough campaign in claret. Taken together, the awards covered the full stretch of the club’s season and the people around it, from the main scorer to the volunteer and the travelling supporter.
