Amedspor Secures First Süper Lig Promotion With 3-3 Draw

amedspor is going up for the first time in club history after a 3-3 draw at Iğdır FK settled the final day of the TFF 1. Lig season. The result left Amedspor second on 74 points and sent the Diyarbakır club into the Süper Lig directly.

Iğdır FK Pushes Amedspor

Fofana put Iğdır FK ahead in the 6th minute, but Hasan Ali answered in the 19th. Diagne then scored in first-half stoppage time to give Amed SK the lead, only to turn the match back on itself with an own goal shortly after, leaving it 2-2 before halftime.

That swing kept the race open deep into the match. Dia Saba made it 3-2 for Amed SK in the second half, and Atakan Çankya equalized for Iğdır FK in the 80th minute to finish the game at 3-3.

74 Points For Amedspor

The draw was enough because Amedspor reached 74 points and finished second in the league table. Erzurumspor FK had already secured the title and promotion, while Amedspor claimed the other direct place in the Süper Lig.

Esenler Erokspor entered the final week level on points with Amed SK, but its 1-1 draw with Pendikspor left it third on goal difference. That left Amedspor in the promotion spot and pushed Esenler Erokspor into the play-off bracket instead.

Play-Offs At Konya

Bandırmaspor and Keçiörengücü both finished on 60 points, and Ankara Keçiörengücü took the final play-off place. TFF said the Trendyol 1. Lig Play-Off Final will be played at Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu after moving the date from 22 May Friday to 24 May Sunday.

The season closed with direct promotion, play-off spots and relegation all decided on the same day. Amedspor gets the reward that mattered most: a place in Turkey's top division for the first time.
