Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Clinch First Süper Lig Promotion
Amed Sportif Faaliyetler reached the süper lig for the first time in the club's history after finishing second in the 2024-2025 Trendyol 1. Lig. The result ended Diyarbakır's top-flight absence that had lasted since 2009-2010 and locked one of the league's two automatic promotion places.
Iğdır FK and Esenler Erokspor
The promotion came after a 3-3 draw away at Iğdır FK, a match that swung back and forth from the opening minutes. Amed fell behind in the 6th minute, then moved ahead 2-1 through goals from Hasan Ali Kaldırım and Diagne before Diagne put the ball into his own net in the 45+4th minute to leave the teams level at 2-2 at halftime.
Both sides scored again after the break, and the draw stood when the final whistle went. That point was enough once Esenler Erokspor, who hosted Pendikspor, also dropped points in a 1-1 draw.
38th Week Finish
The 38th week ended with Amed in second place and Esenler Erokspor on 74 points, sending Amed straight up while Erokspor went into the playoffs. Çorum FK, Bodrum FK, Pendikspor and Ankara Keçiörengücü also finished in the top 7 and qualified for the playoff round.
For Amed, the draw carried more than a point. It finished a season-long chase with a place in next season's Süper Lig and opened the door to a tier Diyarbakır had not reached since 2009-2010.
TFF and Nahit Eren
After the promotion was secured, TFF published a congratulatory message for the club and for president Nahit Eren, saying: "Trendyol 1. Lig'de bugün oynanan 38. hafta müsabakalarının ardından Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, ligi ikinci sırada tamamlayarak Trendyol Süper Lig'e yükselmiştir. The club now joins the league's automatic promotion places after a final day decided by its result and Erokspor's failure to win. For supporters in Diyarbakır, the return is immediate: Amed will play in the Süper Lig next season after a finish that finally put the city back in the top flight.
