Trabzonspor and Göztepe supporters turned Trabzon city center into a shared gathering point before the 32nd-week Süper Lig match, with VİRA leading a solidarity campaign around discounts and hospitality for visiting fans. The scene carried a clear message of centilmanlık before the 20.00 kickoff.

VİRA built the campaign around the hospitality it had received in İzmir in the first half of the season. Before this match, the group spoke with local shopkeepers in Trabzon and secured special discount agreements for visiting Göztepe supporters, a practical gesture that went beyond chants and scarves.
That approach set the tone in the city center, where fans from both clubs met before the game. Supporters wore their teams' jerseys and scarves and chanted friendship slogans, turning a rivalry setting into a public display of mutual respect.
Doğan Greets Göztepe Fans
Visiting supporters later met Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan after the club's 60th Ordinary General Assembly. He shook hands with the yellow-red supporters and took a souvenir photo with them, giving the day a formal club-level touch as well as a fan-level one.

Halil Cengiz said he came from abroad to Trabzon again after 8 years and described being hosted warmly, adding, “İzmirliyim ama bu maç için 8 sene sonra yurt dışından tekrar Trabzon'a geldim. Allah Trabzonlulardan razı olsun. Bunu tüm içtenliğimle söylüyorum. Bizi çok güzel misafir etmişlerdi, yine ettiler. Var olsunlar. Çok mutluyum. Büyük bir rahatlıkla geldim. Yedirip, içirdiler. Akçaabat'ta yediğim köfteden, tekrar yiyeceğim. Onun için de geldim. Hamsiköy'e gidip sütlaç yiyeceğiz inşallah”.
Gülistan, making her 3rd trip to Trabzon, said she felt at home and summed up the mood in one line: “3'üncü kez Trabzon'a geliyorum. Kendi evimde gibi hissediyorum. Birbirimizi seviyoruz ve sevgi doluyuz. Eğlenmeye geldik. Rakip değil, dostuz. Trabzon'u çok seviyoruz”.
