Stewart’s Brings Back Bel-Mint Stakes for Belmont Stakes
Stewart’s Shops has brought back belmont stakes tie-in ice cream for the final Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. The Bel-Mint Stakes flavor is back at more than 175 participating Stewart’s Shops locations in the Greater Capital Region through Sunday, June 7, 2026.
Chad Kiesow said, “Bringing back Bel-Mint Stakes ice cream is a fun way to celebrate the return of the Belmont and world-class racing to Saratoga Springs.” The flavor is the tribute version of Mint Cookie Crumble ice cream, rebranded by Stewart’s Shops to mark the third and final running of the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga.
402 Lake Avenue Tastings
Ceremonial first tastings were held at the Stewart’s Shop at 402 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs. The flavor first appeared in 2025, and its return lands ahead of the final Belmont Stakes Racing Festival at Saratoga Race Course, which runs from Wednesday, June 3 through Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The 158th running of the Grade 1, $2 million Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets is set for Saturday, June 6, 2026. That single race sits in the middle of a three-day stretch that also brings a special festival admission option for fans.
NYRA Bets And Stewart’s
NYRA is pairing the promotion with a three-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival admission pass that covers Thursday, June 4, Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 for $99. The package is priced as a 15 percent savings versus individual day tickets, and Stewart’s Shops is also selling $50 NYRA Bets gift cards during the racing season.
Pat McKenna said, “NYRA’s partnership with Stewart’s Shops provides horse racing fans with a convenient way to purchase Belmont Stakes Festival admission and NYRA Bets gift cards, and to top it off with a scoop of delicious Bel-Mint Stakes ice cream.” Those gift cards can be used to fund active or new NYRA Bets accounts, with the app available in the App store or at NYRABets.com/App.
For fans in Saratoga Springs and across the region, the immediate move is simple: the ice cream is already back on shelves, and it stays available only through the end of the festival on Sunday, June 7, while the Belmont weekend itself arrives on Saturday, June 6.
