Every SPFL play-off match goes live in new streaming move — Spfl Table

The spfl table just changed for play-off viewers: every William Hill SPFL play-off match will be broadcast live for the first time. Fans can buy each game for £9.99 through a new SPFL online platform inside the Premier Sports website and Premier Sports Player app.

Neil Doncaster said: "We’re really pleased to be announcing that every SPFL play-off match will be broadcast live for the first time." The service will cover every tie not already shown live by Sky Sports, Scotland or ALBA, giving the play-offs across the William Hill Championship, William Hill League 1 and the pyramid competition one central streaming route.

Premier Sports Player access

The new platform is built around pay-per-view access, with all matches available to buy via the Premier Sports Player. That includes the pyramid play-off between Edinburgh City and Brora Rangers, which falls inside the live-streaming offer rather than one of the existing broadcast windows.

For viewers, the practical change is simple: the live games that were previously split across broadcasters now sit in one streaming option for matches outside the existing TV picks. The William Hill Premiership quarter-finals and semi-finals still remain on Scotland, while the final stays exclusively live on Sky Sports.

Scotland and Sky Sports

ALBA will continue to show exclusive live coverage of both legs of each William Hill Championship and William Hill League 1 play-off final. Scotland’s live schedule starts with Dunfermline Athletic against Arbroath in the Premiership quarter-final first leg on Tuesday May 5 at 7.45pm, followed by the second leg at Arbroath on Friday May 8 at 7.30pm.

The same pattern holds through the rest of the Premiership run-in. The semi-final first leg involving Arbroath or Dunfermline Athletic and Partick Thistle is set for Tuesday May 12 at 7.45pm, then the second leg at Partick Thistle on Friday May 15 at 7.45pm.

William Hill Premiership dates

Sky Sports takes over for the final, with the first leg scheduled for Thursday May 21 at 8.00pm and the second leg on Monday May 25 at 8.00pm. If a club is involved in both the Scottish Cup final and the William Hill Premiership play-off final, those ties move to Tuesday May 26 and Friday May 29.

Doncaster said the play-offs have delivered some of the most dramatic and memorable moments in the SPFL in recent years, and added that the new platform offers "an innovative and flexible new way for fans to follow the best of the action, as well as an enhanced broadcast quality for these matches." For supporters, the move means every play-off route is now covered live somewhere, but the viewing choice still depends on which tie they want and which broadcaster already has it.
