From there, Rennes never recovered the control it had briefly regained. Dominik Greif kept Lyon level before the break with a reflex save on a Bréel Embolo header in first-half stoppage time, and Brice Samba later stopped Lyon from adding a fifth goal in the 78th minute.

Lyon's Third-Place Hold

Endrick finished the scoring in the 75th minute to seal Lyon's fourth consecutive victory and push the margin over Rennes to four points. Lille's 1-1 draw with Le Havre earlier in the day helped Lyon move clear in the table, while Monaco sat sixth, six points behind Lyon with an inferior goal difference.

Lyon now goes to Toulouse before hosting Lens in its final two league matches, with the third-place position giving the club a better path in the race for Champions League qualification.
