Mamata Banerjee alleges strongroom disruptions hours before counting — Bengal Election Result Date 2026

Mamata Banerjee alleged in the wee hours of Monday that load-shedding was being done in phases and CCTV was being turned off in some West Bengal constituencies hours before bengal election result date 2026. The West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress supremo named Serampore, Krishnanagar, Ausgram and Kshudiram Anushilan Kendra in her post.

She also said vehicles were moving in and out of strong rooms and asked party workers to stay awake all night to guard the places where votes are stored. Banerjee told people to stay vigilant, file complaints immediately and demand CCTV footage if anyone created a suspicious situation.

Mamata Banerjee's X post

In her post on X, Banerjee wrote: "I'm receiving reports from various places that load-shedding is being deliberately imposed. From Hooghly's Serampore, Nadia’s Krishnanagar, to Burdwan's Ausgram, and Kolkata's Kshudiram Anushilan Kendra, such incidents have come to light where load-shedding is being done in phases, CCTV is being turned off, and vehicles are moving in and out of strong rooms".

She also wrote: "If anyone creates any suspicious situation anywhere, surround them, file complaints immediately, and demand CCTV footage. All of this is being done at the behest of the BJP".

Election Commission complaints

During the second phase of polling in West Bengal, the Election Commission received at least 77 complaints related to EVM tampering. An official said 32 of those complaints came from Falta, 13 came from Magrahat and 29 came from Diamond Harbour.

The allegations came hours before the assembly polls results in West Bengal, where the Trinamool Congress is opposed to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Banerjee's post linked the counting-period claims to the security of strong rooms, putting immediate pressure on party workers to watch the sites and push complaints through quickly if they saw anything suspicious.
