Mikey Moore Wins PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year — Spl
Mikey Moore won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award after a loan season at Rangers, finishing as the club’s only nominee. The 18-year-old’s return of six goals and three assists made him one of Rangers’ main attacking threats across the campaign, and the award adds weight to his impact in Scotland.
Moore’s Rangers Return
Moore spent the season on loan from Tottenham and usually played wide, though he also filled in as a No. 10. That flexibility gave Rangers another option in the final third, and he kept producing end product while moving across different attacking roles.
His numbers were strong enough to separate him from the rest of the field. Luke Graham of Dundee, Barney Stewart of Falkirk and Findlay Marshall of Arbroath were also nominated, but Moore took the vote after a season that put him in the middle of Rangers’ attacking work rather than on the edge of it.
Rangers And The Award Race
Danny Rohl took over during the 2024-2025 campaign, and Moore excelled after that change. The award now gives Rangers another clear marker of what they had in him: a young player trusted in multiple roles and productive enough to stay in the frame all season.
The wider ceremony also recognized Derek McInnes as Manager of the Year and Claudio Braga as Player of the Year, while Moore’s award came against competition from players representing Dundee, Falkirk and Arbroath. For Rangers, the practical question is whether they can secure him on loan for another season, with Tottenham’s Premier League status part of that equation.
