Anthony Edwards Leaves Game 4 With Left Knee Injury
anthony edwards was ruled out for the rest of Game 4 after his left knee appeared to buckle late in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He was helped to the locker room and did not return as Minnesota closed out a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference quarterfinal series.
Edwards Leaves Late
Edwards went down while contesting a layup, landing awkwardly before the knee gave way. Minnesota then ruled him out for the rest of the game with a left knee injury.
He entered Saturday averaging 23 points and eight rebounds in the series, so the injury took one of Minnesota’s most productive playoff players off the floor in the middle of a first-round game that already had turned on another early injury.
DiVincenzo Out in Minutes
Donte DiVincenzo’s night ended 1:19 into Game 4 after he slipped while racing to chase a ball and appeared to injure his lower right leg. He waved to the bench for help, put little to no weight on his right foot as he was helped to the locker room, and eventually left the arena in a wheelchair.
His season is over with an Achilles tendon injury, a hit Minnesota was already carrying before Edwards exited. DiVincenzo had averaged 14.3 points and made 11 of 22 3-pointers in the first three games, so his loss removed another guard the Timberwolves had been leaning on in the series.
Finch, Dosunmu React
Chris Finch said after the Timberwolves’ playoff win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night: “I feel completely devastated for Donte” and “Losing those two guys is really tough, tough emotionally for our guys.” Ayu Dosunmu added in a televised on-court postgame interview, “I was heartbroken” and “This is for them. Ant, Donte, they mean so much to the organization. I’m sending them prayers. I hope for a speedy rec.”
Minnesota still beat Denver and moved ahead 3-1 in the series, but the larger issue now sits with Edwards’ left knee and how much it changes the Timberwolves’ guard rotation after two key injuries in one game.
