Ayo Dosunmu Injury: Questionable for Game 1 Against Spurs

Ayo Dosunmu injury status was listed as questionable for Monday's Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs because of right calf soreness. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is now a game-time decision as the next round opens on May 4.

Dosunmu and the Timberwolves

Dosunmu’s calf issue has lingered into the matchup after he missed the Timberwolves’ Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets because of calf tightness. That leaves Minnesota waiting on one of the guards who had been productive in the first-round series.

He played in the playoffs for the second time in his career against Denver. In Game 3, Dosunmu logged 31 minutes and scored 25 points in Minnesota’s 113-96 win on April 23, 2026.

Game 4 And Game 5 Output

His scoring climbed even higher in the next game. Dosunmu posted 43 points in a 42-minute showing in Game 4, then started Game 5 and scored 18 points on 50.0% shooting.

Those numbers made his availability more than a routine injury-report note. The Timberwolves traded for him during the season, and they have already used him in a playoff rotation that needed his scoring in the first round.

Monday In San Antonio

Monday’s Game 1 against the Spurs is the immediate checkpoint. If Dosunmu is cleared, Minnesota gets back a guard who was producing across multiple roles; if not, the Timberwolves open the series without the scorer who handled 31 minutes, then 42, and then a starting spot before the calf issue sent him back to the injury report.
