Loki Mode Launches 1v6 Avengers Matchup on 30 April
Marvel Rivals is putting loki in the center of a new 1v6 Avengers mode, and it goes live on Thursday, 30 April. One player will control Loki against Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow in a limited-time PvP event.
Season 7.5 Path to Doomsday
The mode arrived in the game’s official reveal on Wednesday, 29 April, as part of Season 7.5’s Path to Doomsday event. Marvel Rivals said the update will “reshape the Path to Doomsday” and asks players to “stand united against this new threat in [the] upcoming Asymmetric PvP Mode.”
That framing matters because this is not another standard team-vs-team playlist. The Loki side is built around a solo player carrying up to 3,500 HP, while the Avengers roster is locked to six specific heroes. The structure gives the mode a very different pace from the game’s usual match format and makes the hero lineup easy to read at a glance.
Iron Man to Black Widow
The hero team is limited to Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow, which narrows the matchup to a fixed Avengers cast rather than an open roster. Loki faces the same six-character setup every time, so the mode is more about a scripted clash than a broad competitive sandbox.
Season 7.5 already opened with the Blood Hunt PvE mode, and this new PvP addition keeps the update cycle moving with another limited-time mode instead of a permanent ruleset change. That choice suggests Marvel Rivals is using rotating formats to keep attention on each release window rather than spreading content across too many simultaneous systems.
One Player, Six Avengers
The practical takeaway is simple: if you want to try the Avengers mode, Thursday, 30 April is the day to log in. The launch adds a rare asymmetric PvP option to Marvel Rivals, with Loki as the lone control point and the Avengers side built around six recognizable heroes.
