Grand Canyon seeks help finding Sandarsh Krishna after April 29 alert

grand canyon National Park asked the public on April 29, 2026, for help locating Sandarsh Krishna, 26, after dispatch was notified he was missing on April 28. Park officials said his last possible known location was along the Rim Trail on Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point.

Sandarsh Krishna on Hermit Road

Krishna was last possible known to be in the park between 4 p.m. on April 27 and 12 a.m. on April 28. The park described him as 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build, about 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, and said he was last seen wearing athletic clothing.

Grand Canyon dispatch notice

Dispatch received the missing-person notification on April 28. The park said there is no known vehicle associated with Krishna and that he may have been using a rideshare or taxi service.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was urged to contact the ISB Tip Line at 888-653-0009. For people in the park area, the search location is narrowed to a specific stretch between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point, not the broader South Rim.

April 29 public request

The April 29 public request turned the case outward, asking visitors and others who were on Hermit Road during the April 27-to-April 28 window to consider what they saw. With no known vehicle tied to Krishna, the park’s appeal points to a transit-based trail visit rather than a car-based arrival.
