Foot, Gardner and Bernier join Tsn for 2026 OHL Series
The Ontario Hockey League has set its tsn broadcast team for the 2026 OHL Championship Series presented by Nissan, with David Foot on play-by-play, Ryan Gardner as analyst and Sophie Bernier as rinkside reporter. All games will air on TSN and stream live on FloHockey, giving the series national reach from the opener through a potential Game 7.
Foot returns to TSN
Foot takes the lead voice for a championship series that begins Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 pm. He also called the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sarnia on TSN in 2024 and the WHL Championship Series on TSN in 2025, giving him back-to-back junior hockey assignments at the network before this spring’s OHL final.
Gardner brings a different path to the booth. He played parts of four OHL seasons before a 20-season professional career in Switzerland, where he won four Swiss championships, earned a silver medal at the 2013 IIHF World Championship and represented Switzerland at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Gardner’s route to the booth
After retiring in 2018, Gardner served as Head of Player Safety in Switzerland and was inducted into the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. That background gives the series an analyst with direct OHL ties and a long professional résumé built outside North America.
Bernier rounds out the crew as the rinkside reporter. She currently reports and hosts for Rogers TV covering the London Knights, so the sideline role adds another familiar junior hockey voice to a series that will be seen and streamed across both TSN and FloHockey.
May 6 through May 18
The schedule is stacked across at least four straight dates before any extras are needed: Game 2 is Friday, May 8 at 7:00 pm, Game 3 is Sunday, May 10 at 6:00 pm and Game 4 is Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 pm. If the series goes longer, Game 5 is set for Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 pm, Game 6 for Saturday, May 16 at 6:00 pm and Game 7 for Monday, May 18 at a time to be announced.
For viewers, the practical change is simple: every game is carried on TSN and streamed live, so the championship series will be available from the opening faceoff through a possible deciding game without shifting platforms.
