Carragher Says Arsenal Can Win Chaotic Premier League Title at West Ham

Arsenal can turn a chaotic Premier League race into a title celebration on Sunday. Jamie Carragher said they will win the league if they beat West Ham at the London Stadium, after Manchester City could only rescue a late 3-3 draw at Everton on Monday Night Football.

City missed the chance to close the gap on Arsenal to three points. Instead, Arsenal still hold a five-point lead with three games left, while City have four matches remaining.

Carragher on Arsenal's route

“If Arsenal win against West Ham next Sunday, they win the league.”

That was Carragher’s read after City dropped points at Everton, and it leaves Arsenal with a simple equation on Sunday. Win at West Ham, and the title is theirs.

Henry on City's mistakes

Thierry Henry said the draw shifted the pressure back onto Arsenal. “Now it's back in Arsenal's hands. It's not in Man City's hands anymore.”

He also pointed to the way City let Everton back into the match. “I saw a bit of nervousness with City because they imploded. They brought Everton back into the game with some mistakes.”

Henry added that he is watching West Ham closely. “I said earlier that I could see City dropping points against Everton and that I'm worried about the West Ham game.”

West Ham at the London Stadium

Arsenal travel to the London Stadium on Sunday, with the match live from 4pm and kick-off at 4.30pm. Arsenal need to win all three of their remaining league matches to secure their first Premier League title in 22 years.

The next test comes quickly, with Arsenal also due to play the second leg against Atletico Madrid at the Emirates on Tuesday. Sunday offers the cleaner path back to the title: beat West Ham, and the race could be settled before the final stretch even starts.
