Univision Reaches 33.7 Million Viewers and Beats Telemundo in April
Univision drew 33.7 million total day viewers in April 2026, keeping it the No. 1 network for U.S. Hispanics and extending a run that now leans on news, sports and prime-time programming. The network also posted its highest audience month since July 2024 among Adults 18 to 49 and Adults 18 to 34.
April 2026 Audience Gains
The 33.7 million total day viewers marked a 19% increase year over year, while Univision grew 14% among Adults 18 to 49 and 31% among Adults 18 to 34. It averaged 297 minutes of viewing in total day, ahead of the 250-minute average for ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.
Univision also widened its gap with Telemundo. In total day, it led by 14% among total viewers and by 12% among Adults 18 to 49. In prime time, the network held a 15% advantage in total viewers.
Telemundo And Prime Time
TelevisaUnivision networks captured 61% of Adults 18 to 49 and 64% of Adults 18 to 34 in prime time during April. Within that lineup, "Mi Verdad Oculta" was the highest-rated prime-time drama of the month, while "Mi Rival" helped Univision rank No. 1 in its time slot among Hispanics in the United States.
"Mi Rival" beat Telemundo by 27% among Adults 18 to 34, and "Hermanas: Un Amor Compartido" topped Telemundo by 47% among Adults 18 to 34 at 10 p.m. "Desiguales" beat "La Mesa Caliente" by 39% among Adults 18 to 34, and "El Gordo y La Flaca" held its lead over "Al Rojo Vivo" among Adults 18 to 49 and Adults 18 to 34.
N+ News And Sunday Nights
The network's news block added 17.2 million total viewers in April, with Noticiero N+ Univision positioned as the No. 1 news program in all television in total day among Hispanics in the United States. That gives Univision another ratings anchor outside prime time and helps explain how it kept its total-day lead while English-language broadcast networks averaged less viewing time.
Three weeks of Sunday momentum also helped. The third season of "Juego de Voces" put Univision No. 1 in all television among Hispanics in the United States from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays, and the show beat Telemundo's "La Casa de los Famosos" by 9% in total viewers and by 6% among Adults 18 to 34. For rivals, April was not just about one strong title; it was about Univision holding multiple dayparts at once.
