Trump Talks Iran Deal As Slides Report Says 14-Point Memo

Trump said the US has had very good talks with Iran in the last 24 hours as slides reported the White House believed it could be closing in on a 14-point memorandum of understanding. Iran said the American proposal is still being reviewed, and Tehran told Pakistani mediators it would share its view after that review ends.

Trump And Baghaei

Donald Trump said, "They [Iran] want to make a deal. We've had very good talks over the last 24 hours and it's very possible that we'll make a deal up there," adding that "the bombing starts" if Iran did not agree. He also said Iran has agreed to never have a nuclear weapon, among other things.

Ismail Baghaei told the Iranian Students' News Agency that "The American proposal is still being reviewed by Iran and after concluding, it will inform the Pakistani side of its opinion." Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said Tehran would use Pakistani mediators to pass along its response.

Axios Report And

Axios said on Wednesday that the White House believed it could be closing in on a one-page, 14-point memo that could set a framework for more detailed nuclear negotiations. The reported provisions included suspension of Iranian nuclear enrichment, lifting sanctions, and restoring free transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

reported that two sources briefed on the mediation between the US and Iran said the Axios information was accurate. The proposal has not been publicly outlined, so the reported terms remain the main detail now circulating in public.

Pakistan Mediation

Pakistan's foreign minister said his country was endeavouring to convert this ceasefire into a permanent end to this war. Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for Iran's parliament's national security and foreign policy commission, wrote on X that "The Americans will not gain anything in a war they are losing that they have not gained in face-to-face negotiations."

He also said the Americans "has its finger on the trigger and is ready," and urged them to "surrender and grant the necessary concessions" or expect a "deliver a harsh and regret-inducing response." Trump announced on Tuesday that he was pausing Project Freedom, the operation meant to help restore the flow of oil and the global economy's eventual return to normalcy by guiding stranded ships out of the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz.

The immediate next step is Iran's response through Pakistani mediators, and the reported memo's terms will determine whether the talks move toward a wider nuclear framework or stay at the level of a proposal under review.
