Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick Falls on Jonathan Survivor 50 After Coin Flip

Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick’s jonathan survivor 50 run ended after a chaotic Tribal Council that turned on a Mr. Beast Beware Advantage coin flip. Rick Devens exposed key alliances, and the vote shifted fast enough to leave Kendrick out of the plan.

“Oh, here we go. Now I have to do damage control,” Kendrick said as Devens started outing her and Jonathan’s plans. She said, “I got to jump in here,” then added, “I cannot throw Jonathan under the bus, even though it was his plan and I’m getting dragged into it.”

Devens Forces the Open

Kendrick said she tried to flip the moment back on Devens while Tiffany and Rizo attacked her, but the conversation kept moving. “This is just not who I am,” she said, describing why she would not betray Jonathan even as the exchange got louder.

She said the group then hit the point where it needed to decide whether Devens or Aubry would go. Kendrick’s read was that the camp had settled into a backup plan, but the live Tribal pushed the vote somewhere else.

The Coin Flip Backfires

When the Mr. Beast Beware Advantage introduced the coin flip, Kendrick said, “I was like, “Shit, I want to flip the coin after that mess.”” Cirie told her, “I think you’re safe, but if you want to flip the coin, flip the coin,” and Jeff warned the players, “Wow, we didn’t think anybody would volunteer. You have a 50 percent chance of going home.”

Kendrick said she let Devens take the flip because she got nervous, then said, “I was shocked.” She added, “I’m a team player and a good sport, so I clapped and I acted as if I was happy for him,” even though she had thought the backup plan would send Aubry out if Devens was safe.

Aubry Wasn’t the Backup

“There’s going to be a vote and we had a backup plan,” Kendrick said, but she said the live discussion turned toward Aubry and then away again. “It was not going to be Aubry,” she said, adding that Jonathan found out at the last minute that the vote was going her way.

“You either go with the vote or you’re going to be the odd man out,” Kendrick said of Jonathan’s choice. That is the real takeaway from this Survivor 50 exit: once the alliances were exposed and the coin flip landed, loyalty stopped being a shield and became the reason the target stayed on her.
