Ojeda Powers Orlando City to 4-1 Comeback Over Inter Miami

orlando city turned a 3-0 hole into a 4-1 win over Inter Miami, and Martin Ojeda said the second half showed the team’s real level. Inter Miami led inside the opening 33 minutes, but Orlando City answered with four straight goals and only its third MLS victory of the season.

Ojeda Drives the Rally

Ojeda scored six minutes before the break to get Orlando City moving, then struck again 10 minutes before his 78th-minute penalty completed the hat-trick. Tyrese Spicer added the final goal in the 93rd minute to close out the comeback.

“I enjoy those moments. I like those moments,” Ojeda said after the match. “From when I was a kid, I was prepared for those and trained for those. I never feel pressure in those moments.”

Inter Miami had built the 3-0 lead through Ian Fray, Telasco Segovia and Lionel Messi, all before the 33-minute mark. Orlando City spent the rest of the match cutting into that gap, and Ojeda finished the job from the penalty spot late in the second half.

Orlando City’s Third Win

The result moved Orlando City up to 13th in the Eastern Conference, with CF Montreal one place and one point behind ahead of their meeting this weekend. Ojeda’s treble was his second career hat-trick for Orlando City, joining Cyle Larin as the only other player in club MLS history to record two.

“There’s a huge emotion that I feel within that’s inexplicable, because, you know, the way that we came out in the first half, it wasn’t us,” Ojeda said. “We fell behind. And I think it showed going into half-time, and then in the second half, we came out, we showed who we can be as a team.”

CF Montreal arrive after a 3-1 loss away to Atlanta United, where they opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Atlanta hit back with three quickfire goals either side of half-time. Philippe Eullaffroy had won his first two games as coach against the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC, but that start ended in the defeat.
