Michael Kelly says Taylor Sheridan's Lioness Season 3 is finished
Michael Kelly says taylor sheridan’s Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 is done and likely headed for the end of summer. That gives the series a tighter window than the broad 2026 rollout Paramount has already attached to it, and it comes after Sheridan spent the year on The Madison, Marshals and Dutton Ranch.
Kelly on Season 3
Asked by Collider's Steve Weintraub whether he would be part of the season, Kelly answered, "I am, yes," before adding that the run has already wrapped. He said, "We have completed it, and I don’t know for sure [what I can tell people], but I think it’s [coming out] somewhere around the end of the summer, probably, it’ll come out. It’s really good, man. Really fun."
Paramount's 2026 slate
Paramount has already said Lioness Season 3 will premiere before the end of 2026, so Kelly’s timetable narrows the range without changing the overall commitment. That matters for a Sheridan slate that has already pushed The Madison and Marshals onto Paramount+ streaming charts this year, with Dutton Ranch coming later this month.
The split between a completed season and a still-wide official window is the only real friction point here. Sheridan viewers have a finished season in hand, but the calendar still runs through a company-wide release plan that includes multiple 2026 titles and the ongoing speculation around a crossover between Dutton Ranch and Landman.
The Madison and Marshals
The Madison and Marshals were Sheridan’s first two shows of 2026, and both have already shown up on Paramount+ streaming charts. The Madison is being positioned more like an original Western in the mold of Yellowstone Season 1, while Marshals pulls Luke Grimes back as Kayce Dutton.
For Lioness, the practical takeaway is simple: the season is finished, Kelly is in it, and the likely wait is measured in months rather than years. A summer arrival would keep Sheridan’s audience moving from one title to the next instead of forcing a long gap after the Yellowstone-related projects.
